BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- Checkers Industrial Safety Products, the industry leading safety products manufacturer, announces the acquisition of Zigma Ground Solutions. As a leader in temporary access and ground protection products, Zigma serves the European, U.S., Middle Eastern and Australian markets with high-quality, industrial matting products for oil and gas, transmission and distribution, construction, renewable energy and event applications.
"This acquisition combines two leaders, who serve the same industries in different geographic areas. This acquisition brings the TuffTrak, LibertyMat, EconomatMB, and GeoGrid brands into the Checkers product portfolio and expands the ground protection matting into heavier-duty applications. This complements Checkers' recent acquisition of Superior Manufacturing Group, which focuses on pedestrian and floor matting products. Other recent matting and ground protection acquisitions made by Checkers include AlturnaMATS and SVE Portable Roadways, both U.S.-based and offer matting for industrial applications. The combined product offering now includes light-, medium-, and heavy-duty ground protection as well as professional floor matting products for home, commercial, food service, industrial, landscaping, construction, utility, oil and gas, mining applications, and more. Checkers is now the only company worldwide that offers indoor light-duty/pedestrian safety matting and outdoor medium- to heavy-duty matting products into common markets and customers.
