Colombia's TGI Deploys Commercial Management Software From Energy Solutions International

TGI, Colombia’s largest natural gas transporter with more than 3,700 kilometres of natural gas pipeline and nearly 100 transportation contracts to be managed, licensed PipelineTransporter Gas v 4.1 from ESI to handle its entire business cycle. Software modules to be configured include administration, contract management, nominations, scheduling, allocation and invoicing.
PipelineTransporter will be integrated with TGI’s SCADA system, its SAP ERP, and another application licensed from ESI, PipelineManager Real-Time hydraulic modelling.
“PipelineTransporter is an excellent platform to automate all the complex transactions that take place during our daily operations,†said Sonia Sanabria, commercial director at TGI. “We were also impressed by Energy Solutions’ understanding of our operations and the regulations that apply to our markets in Latin America.â€
Following a detailed evaluation process that included review of several technologies and visits with different vendors and installations, TGI selected ESI and PipelineTransporter for its gas management system.
TGI, Transportadora de Gas International, operates 3,702 kilometres of pipeline in Colombia and moved 371 mf3/d in 2008, making it the biggest gas transport company in Colombia. Its business purposes are the planning, organization, expansion, construction, operation, maintenance and commercial exploitation of its natural gas transport systems.
