Weatherford Acquires Energy Rentals

[Daily News] Weatherford International, Inc. has acquired Energy Rentals, Inc. (ERI), a supplier of drilling and remedial equipment based in Red Deer, Alberta.
In a news release, Weatherford said ERI is recognized for quality drilling equipment, including pressure control and drillstring tools, as well as coiled tubing well control equipment and power swivels for remedial applications.

In addition to the broad scope of products offered, the acquisition strengthens Weatherford's activity in the expanding deep sour and critical sour drilling and well service businesses in the region.
