Wireless Seismic Raises $12 Million In Round Led By Total

SUGAR LAND, Tex. -- Wireless Seismic, Inc., the leading innovator of real-time and cable-less seismic data acquisition systems for the oil and gas industry, has announced the successful completion of its latest funding round of $12.5 million. Existing shareholders, Chesapeake Energy and Energy Ventures, were joined in this round by Total Energy Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of French oil and gas major Total.

ION Announces 2D Multi-Client Program On Australia's Northwest Shelf

HOUSTON, Tex. -- ION Geophysical Corporation has announced that it has completed acquisition of over 11,500 kilometres of new 2D seismic data on Australia's northwest shelf. Known as WestraliaSPAN, the survey area extends from the Exmouth Plateau to the Browse and Bonaparte Basins. The regional, long offset data will be depth imaged by ION's GX Technology group using their latest WiBand broadband processing technology.

SUGAR LAND, Tex. -- Wireless Seismic, Inc. has announced the delivery of 7,500 channels of its RT System 2 real-time and cable-less seismic data acquisition system to Asian Oilfield Services, Ltd. (ASIAN). Based in Gurgaon, India, ASIAN selected RT System 2 for large-scale 3D acquisition projects in the rugged terrains of Kurdistan, beginning June 2013.
