AURO Cloud Discussing Cloud Adoption In Canada And Deploying OpenStack Cloud Computing At Canada's Enterprise Technology Conference

VANCOUVER, B.C. -- AURO, the first Canadian enterprise public cloud, will be at Canada's biggest conference yet – Interzone. Bringing together some of the most prominent IT thought leaders, including co-founder of Apple Steve Wozniak and CTO of Twitter Adam Messinger, they will be gathering in the Canadian Rockies for three days of discussion about the relevance of enterprise technology.

AURO announced today that it is a Diamond Sponsor of Interzone and will be leading two major talks on Day 1 of the conference, held at Fairmont Banff in Alberta from March 11-13th.

AURO's Lead Cloud Engineer Curtis Collicutt will be speaking about deploying OpenStack as simply as possible – the open-source cloud software platform that was founded by NASA and Rackspace. AURO's chief strategy officer Matt McKinney will also be joining in the discussion and giving a presentation on how to make cloud adoption a success in Canada.

"We're thrilled to be a part of the future of enterprise technology and to lead in the discussion of best business strategies to move forward in the Canadian landscape including our newly launched cloud computing system," said McKinney. "Interzone is fantastic opportunity to be a part of the honest discussion with other vendors and leaders in technology. It's an event not to be missed."

AURO are also sponsors of the official Interzone Pre-Party: Subculture Banff. With an exciting panel from AURO, Midokura and Intel, the top five emerging tech company finalists from Vancouver and Edmonton will compete for two winning chances to pitch to Steve Wozniak, Robert Herjavek, Bruce Croxon and other IT leaders at Interzone.

AURO Cloud was built using OpenStack to give Canada its first true enterprise public cloud that can support a wide range of cloud computing requirements. With a free account, open APIs and Canadian cloud storage, customers get a platform that can deliver highly scalable public, private and hybrid cloud services, including operational and architectural compatibility with AWS. In addition, businesses now have cloud computing pricing that matches or beats other cloud computing providers. It is easy to use, self-service and available to everyone. AURO delivers a portfolio of services that include IT Infrastructure and Cloud Hosting, while giving users the benefits of Canada's unique regulatory environment and data security, all within a 100 per cent Canadian platform.
