CSA Group Opens New Office In Calgary Providing Local Service To Energy Sector

CALGARY, Alta. -- CSA Group, a leading global provider of standards development and testing and certification services, announced today it will be expanding its presence in Alberta by opening a branch office in Calgary. The new office is ideally located to serve industries that require testing, inspection and certification services within southern Alberta.

The new office will provide local services for industries defined as operating in hazardous locations. There will be experts on hand to provide services in standards development, hazardous and ordinary location testing and field certification, special inspections for electrical equipment, factory audits, pipeline component attestation and third party inspections.

CSA Group will expand its staff by seven, hiring new employees to meet the growing needs for hazardous locations services. Major oil, gas and energy companies located in and near Calgary will have access to local CSA Group technical experts, helping to speed up delivery of services.
