ABERDEEN, U.K., HOUSTON, Tex. & EDMONTON, Alta. -- Master Flo Valve Inc. reports that it manufactured its 100,000th choke valve this month. Founded in 1979, the company’s choke valves, control valves, actuation and flow management solutions can be found in every major onshore and offshore oil and gas field around the world, including over 2,400 subsea chokes used by more than 75 operators.

Ongoing investment in research and development has resulted in advancements such as Master Flo’s proprietary 5CB tungsten carbide for erosive and corrosive service, industry-leading high pressure high temperature capabilities, subsea chokes that set several world depth records (most recently 9,356 feet in 2008), and a full range of high performance actuation for surface and subsea.
